What is your minimum hire period?

All hires are based on a minimum one-day hire (24 hours). Our daily rate allows for up to 8 hours of machine use in that 24-hour period. We also offer weekly and long-term hire options — reach out for a tailored quote.

 

Are you open on weekends?

Yes, we sure are! Feel free to contact us with any weekend hire enquiries and we’ll do our best to get you sorted.

 

Can I hire equipment on a public holiday?

Yes, we’re available on most public holidays — just check in with us ahead of time to confirm availability.

 

Can I hire equipment for long-term projects?

Yes, we offer machinery hiring options for long-term projects. Contact us to discuss your specific requirements.

 

What sets On Time Machine Hire apart from other equipment hire companies?

Do you operate the equipment?

No — we offer dry hire only. If you're after someone to operate the machine, we may be able to connect you with a local operator for wet hire arrangements.

What are your payment options, and when do I need to pay?

Full payment (including any fees or charges) is required before the hire begins, unless other arrangements have been made in advance.

Do I need to pay a deposit when booking?

Most hires don’t require a deposit — we’ll let you know if that changes based on your booking type or peak demand.

Can I tow the equipment myself?

Yes, all machines come on trailers ready to tow. You’ll need a vehicle rated to handle the combined weight of the trailer and machine — this is outlined in the hire agreement for your safety and ours.

 

Can I have the equipment delivered?

Absolutely. We now offer local delivery and pick-up options to make life easier. Let us know your location and we’ll provide a delivery quote when you book.

 

Do you hire out trailers separately?

No, our Trailers are only available as part of an equipment hire. We don’t hire trailers on their own.

๐Ÿงผ Returning Equipment

Do I need to clean the equipment before returning it?

Yes — machines must be returned clean and ready for the next job. If returned with excess mud, paint or debris, a cleaning fee may apply. We take pride in keeping our equipment in top shape for every customer.

 

Do I need to refuel the equipment?

Yes. Equipment must be returned with a full tank of fuel. If you’re unable to do that, we can refuel it for you — fuel will be charged at a higher per-litre rate as outlined in the hire agreement.
